This is so obviously not my cake.
I Happy-Birthday-ed yesterday!
The last year before I hit my mid-twenties, I would say it is a fairly important one. Important not meaning I had to celebrate it wildly, but rather, to spend the year fruitfully.
Birthday this year? Lots of EATING! I am still suffering from bloating OMG. But I couldn't deny my loved ones' treats right?
The 'marathon' eating started right after work ended last Friday and ended YESTERDAY! So sinned!
Fri - Family's celeb of my Birthday and Mothers' Day in advance. Delicious Zi Char at hawker near People's Park... that famous market... what's the name of it? We chose to eat at this particular stall - "See Sean" cos I remember eating there before and it was good. this time it proved my point again... a total of $71 bucks for 8 dishes with HUGE (i mean huge) portions! I couldn't believe it!
What followed after we strolled at Clarke Quay was wedges, wings, mudpie and coffee at Coffee Club! WTF right??? I was literally stuffed to my max at the end of the day.
Sat - I had wanted to jog but it rained!!! *Fated to put on weight* A treat from my bestie at Siam Kitchen! I love her to the bits for travelling to CCK to meet me~ We had some 'mild' shopping and ice-cream at Macs after the Ajisen 'failure'... opps!! I love Macs' 60c cone... it works for me, and Sundae for Krist! Then I went for piano... had a good time as usual =) On the way home I stopped by to have a free medical checkup by Sata at Yew tee! Medical stuff freaks me out but I still went - at the back of my head I wanted to see how the night before of indulgences (zi char, coffee club) impacted my health! turns out my results were good! The blood Sugar was 6.0 even after the ice cream? Good good... but I know it could have been higher remembering the fact that I eat some form of SWEET TREAT everyday. I'm quite worried for this actually. I don't eat alot of meat at all but I snack too much.
Went back home to do chores (what's new?)... night was devoted to my other half at Vivo City! I had 'Thunder Tea Rice' for dinner... my first time! Tasted great actually except the 'soup' was weird... but you know what, I'm actually craving for it again. Said to have healing and detox properties. ZQ ate a yucky beef horfun to his disappointment. We also had ICEKIMO ice-cream that night! Jasmine tea, Green tea and Teh Tarik flavor... very very nice!
So how, sinful right?
BTW, I will post ALL ALL ALL ALL of the food picts in my next post so be sure to check back!!! My HP and cam bursting with images!!!
Sat night... had 'issues' again with my beau but was quickly resolved (or buried?). Do I love him or do I not? Does he love me yes he does (I think), but how much does he love me? Lord knows...
Love is patient, Love is kind (you sure?)
Love is (can be) bullcrap of all kinds (uh-huh)
I'm sure everyone in this world at some point in time of their lives ask the question of love, or the extend of love experienced, and I don't believe that anyone can be so sure. Love is a weird thing.
Are you with your partner solely because you love him/her? Just love alone? Even if he/she isn't 100% into you? And you don't care whether or not he/she fully reciprocates?
Are you the 'great lover'? Or the 'great pretender'?
Are you with your partner because after all these time you can seek comfort, just being with him/her? Are you not really in love but chin chai la, can get along can already.
The list of the type of love can go on forever and ever.
What is your logic for being together, is it because of love, or is it because you CAN BE with the person?
If I ask you do you LOVE him/her (the unconditional kind), do you have a firm answer?
Everyone has a different definition. Some claim to never find their 'love', maybe cos their standards are so high?
Some say they've found - it may be because they accept and are CONTENTED with what they have, even if it's not a 100% heart-pumping kind of love.
So much for this love shit!
I was talking about my birthday, wasn't I?
Sun - ZQ went for his basketball, and his friend also gave me a lift to AMK, where I visited Gin's new nail and facial shop. At a good price, I had a chemical peel for my horrid face (OUCH) and a full pedidure =)... Thereafter I went shopping at AMK Hub and resisted the urge to buy a $33 note book but its FUCKING NICE!!!!!!!! =( Have you seen the shop selling all the unique schedule books??? Very special... each page has diff designs! I've not seen it anywhere else! Met Mum to pick up some simple groceries and we had yummy fried rice for dinner! At least this was ONE DAY I had less food... gosh. Back home, I painted one side of my wall! I didn't know painted just 2 coats on a slab of wall was this TIRING! OMG. I slept like a log that night.
Birthday itself - Tonnes of wishes from my dear friends - a big thank you for remembering! I rose early to go for a sunny run! Had taken leave to really enjoy my birthday. Therafter I had a lovely homemade sandwich breakfast at home before setting off to TOUCHE for a body massage and facial focusing on the eyes... 2 hours of relaxation, esp after my run!!! Their services are really good! I will go back there again! I had a quite salad + hot chocolate lunch at a unknown cafe in chinatown area... so relaxing and away from the crowd. Went to see toys at China Sq and went for 'mild' shopping at Bugis...while waiting for my beau, who turned up with surprise choco and carrot cup cakes from Room For Desserts, our fave carrot cake maker and a candle! Had dinner at Ma Maison! Lovely english cottage style serving Jap western! =) I also picked up a cheap and nice jacket at Bugis! Went home just in time to catch 变奏曲!I'm seriously contemplately to get aMobTV acct just to watch my fave 9 pm shows... I missed two episodes last week!!! Arghhh!
Was SAD to realise when night came that my long weekend was almost over!!! Nevertheless, I did housework deligently and packed all my things to get ready for work! Slept reasonably early... before 1-am hehe.
I rose this morning DREADING WORK!!! (What's new, after long hols).
Updates!
There will be a new branch of Starbucks at Pacific Plaza! I squealed with delight (to myself) this morning when I walked past and saw the huge green construction board which says 'Starbucks - Brewing Soon'.
You would be able to tell that I like Starbucks, but Coffeebean works for as well!
I dig Coffeebean for the Ice-Blended Black Forest... (never, ever try the one at Coffee Club!!!), and their affordable makan... More specifically their muffins and caesar salad!!!
Starbucks would of course be the green tea frappa and this banana bread-cake thing... otherwise the rest of their food stuff are overpriced! What a shame!
Be back for the picts! I do realise how blardy wordy this entry is!
