Who would've thought?

"...Flames to dust
Lovers to friends
Why do all good things come to an end...?"

Just something that somehow came to my mind before I started typing, and it doesn't matter whether it's relevant or not.

Moving on... Reacting to a piece of news I received today, for a not so fantastic person, it is like too much of a good thing happening all at once. Maybe life is truly unfair? Maybe it's a facade? Tonnes of maybes but I don't really think I would bother to clarify anyway. Acceptance brings peace, and possibly, ease?

We've heard, that to be truly happy, we should stop comparing and learn to be contented with the state of our lives. But, it is sometimes so difficult not to feel the least bothered. It is sometimes hard to stop wondering why.

And if all man was great and magnanimous, everyone would be God.

Other stuff: Today I had my appraisal and I fared really well. Feeling so glad when praise after praise came from by my boss, I only hope that this is the only kind of comment I will ever get from her. However, it scares me to know how much hope she has in me, I am fearful of not meeting her expectations.

Work wise, I finally properly started on the article this morning, trying to input with as much emotion as I did when I wrote essays as a student. Thinking back, I remembered how I loved the English language and writing and how I often fantasized of being in the relevant industry.

Which obviously hadn't come true considering how I did not fight or was not determined enough to carve out a career in this aspect. This is going to be one of my big regrets when I'm old and wrinkly next time, and yet, knowing this, I'm still doing nothing about it.

Life is simply not easy enough for you to do what you really like.

Saying is always easier than doing.

It would be a celebrated thing for me if my superiors find my work good. It may be nothing more than an article submission by an employee but it would certainly mean alot to me.

Mean alot. How do you know if something or someone means alot to you?

How would you know?

How much of your senses could you trust?

Rythmn of Life on channel 8 now is really my kind of show. I think the mediacorp cast is getting better, some scenes were really emotional and sweet... I was telling Mum how alike the series was to those Korean dramas.

Meeting Shia after work today, what a coincidence that we're both located in town now, and I vividly remember those days in school, how we crapped every single day and how

We're meeting up yet again. After almost 4 years. It's the same old us, but so much has changed, really.

NYP brings back too many memories... in bits, and pieces...

I'll always remember those days when I have my fave Maltesers chocolates at the stairway... and the packing of fruits. I would love to but shall never visit that stairway anymore. And the bookshop. Do you remember?

I was so diligent to give, then, but where, just where, has all the enthusiasm gone to?

... this realistic world stops us from going deeper into our own fantasy land.
