Weekend for ya

Check out the clouds... ah, feels so shiok lying down almost naked being so close to nature, soaking up the sun and fresh air...

To Sentosa on Sunday! The stretch of beach was quite noisy as it was PSA's Family Day. We settled for a nice corner at the end of Palawan Beach... actually in my whole life of tanning, I'm at this spot most of the time. The water's cleaner and calmer.

But how clean is it, really?

Turned off by some Indians who spat into the water. Makes my imagination run wild as to what's in the water aside from sea creatures and salt. Think: urine, saliva, SPERM! You should have seen the number of couples getting it "on" in the water. Who knows what's happening underwater. Lol.

I am suddenly reminded of Memoirs of A Geisha, how the author described sex somewhere in the book - 'eel entering a cave', yeah, something like that! Hell man...why eel???? But I still love my Unagi sushi... LOL; Krist and myself can't stop our praises for Iciban Boshi sushi!

After:

Waiting for the bus... hmm, an idyllic scenario.

For our late lunch we had Duck Porridge at Seah Inn Food Centre (alongside Harbourfront bus interchange), at $2.50. It is DELICIOUS! Try it if you haven't!!!

If you haven't already known, I commonly order banana and honeydew juice from fruit stores in hawker centres. I dig it for the sticky texture from the banana and the fresh sweetness from the honeydew. Because it has banana in it, it also serves as a wonderful energy drink!

I ordered from the more popular fruit and juice store there, but unfortunately their version of the concoction was terrible. And Krist turned me off further when sayin she's able to 'taste the chlorine' from the tap water they added to the juice. Gross. I must say she has a powerful sense of taste!!!

I still miss juices from Kovan FC. I seem to be stuck with food obsessions I developed during a specific period. Good, or bad?

Speaking of juice, nothing of course beats the Avocado shake from Alexandra market... gosh, but please order from the correct store (both are located so close together)... the right store's directly next to the famous char siew rice (last store in the row). The boss and his daugther (I'm thinking they're related cos they look quite alike) are super warm and humble hawkers who treat every customer so nicely! I love their Aloe Vera and Lime juice too... the aloe pieces are huge!!!

If you're there please also cross over to the Love Confectionery and buy the Pandan cake which I featured some posts ago!!! OMG, all things green make me beam in delight!

Back to yesterday.

VIVO!

Speaking of Sushi earlier, we passed by Sushi Tei! Didn't know they have a 'convenience store' within!

All the imported expensive shit!

Daiso, we both love it like hell! There's always something to buy! Remember I mentioned how I adored the 1.99 Shop in the past? I can't stand clutter in my own home but I love how shiok clutter feels at Daiso. Snap, snap snapadeedoo!!

Secretly snapped some animals at the pet shop! Theyre cuteeeeeee

Grouchy bulldog... awwwww... I really wanna hug it!

Gloomy Garfield lookalike cat!!!

Animals in the pet shops always look super unhappy cos of the loss of freedom!!! =(

Dinnertime! Mushroom Linguine from Bakerzin! I went to heaven for a moment, find out why:

- Best, absolutely BEST mushroom cream pasta I've ever tasted in my 23++ years!!!
- Served piping hot with all the steam to prove
- Generous serving of tender mushrooms
- Smooth cream sauce that's not too thick, not too thin and not too salty!
- Perfect portion to feel full and satisified; though cream sauce but no meat, a healthier alternative!
- You'll feel full enough to reject any side dishes and dessert (easy on the waistline and wallet)
- Only
$11.80!

After dinner it's super-marketing time! Well not exactly... but just to browse around =P
Supermarkets! Groceries! Colors! I love visit supermarts since I was a kid (maybe that's when the packaging craze developed)! I love the huge array of products and colorful packaging!

Are you ready for all the picts? I'm gonna include the Candy Empire ones!!!

Special Cadbury block flavors!
Cute packaging makes my day

Cafe Musica chocs! Krist says I should eat it so my piano will improve -_-"

Marshmallow SPREAD!!! OMFG... how the hell will it taste? I picked a jar up and it's like, super light lor... imagine... like cotton wool...

'Non Stop'... the design of it is too cluttered... makes my eyes so damn busy just looking at the whole shelf of these cookies.

Random:

Hundreds and Thousands! Candy Sprinkles on biscuit with pink icing sugar!! A very 'bluff kids' snack. Love the packaging as well.

And check out this MON CHERI packaging!!!! Cool!!!!!
Stuff specially for EASTER!!!
All the famous choc in egg form!!!

I bought the Bounty Balls! It's not hard to guess, for I love bounty too damn much and was amused like hell that there's the ball ball form!!!

'Leo'... I thought the packaging was really striking. I saw all the human names for the candies and chocs... there's also one called 'Kathy'... I should tell bro to buy it since his gf's Kathy. LOL.
Colorful popcorn!!! Imagine the color of your tongue after you eat that!!!

Supermarket - Giant!!!

Cranberry, Raspberry, Strawberry tea... berries overload! All the funny teas nowadays.
PANCAKE MIX!!! You'll know why I took a pict of this later!!!

Seen this around a couple of times... brings back fond memories. Remember those cheap choc ones we used to eat... bought from those old provision stores with all the metal tins of biscuits?? Granny used to called them "ice-cream bing"... I'm like, why ice-cream?? Inside got ice-cream meh?? Now the Loacker packaging will support Granny's logic. Hahaha...

Ready made waffles and pancakes!

Odd one out. Do you feel you're not meant to be somewhere, sometimes, just like this bag of chips?

Character Easter Eggs!
Creamy Broccoli Soup!!!

They've got mushroom too... nice packaging!
Toys 'R' Us

Animal Alley, filled with love! Yes I agree! For soft toys = LOVE!!

'Dozing' Maltese and 'Snoozing' Shih Tzu!! SUPER CUTE sets from Korea!!!

The shit that has been around for ages! Nice to look at but not my cup of tea (yet)!

Confectionery and nonsense 'acquired' this weekend.

I Love the Bounty balls!!! Uber cute!!! Pop pop pop in the mouth, burst, burst, burst your pants (expanding waistline)...

Wang Jiao at Harbourfront (Yes we ate so much that day, but the food just disappeared after all the walking!!!) . In Singapore, we eat, eat, eat! I'm obsessed about my weight, but I love to eat too much!!!

Super duper grossly packed train ride home thanks to the foreign workers. Ok fine, without them, who's gonna build our buildings?

Sat, not a perfect one though you guys know I did start the day with a power run, follwed by some light housework and piano class!

Met ZQ and headed to Bugis...

Lobster and oysters and waffles set for a unbelievably low price! Feeling so proud about it. suddenly so many department stores' toys section have these food toys... I think Wheelock and China Square's ones will go out of business...

Lousy Duck Rice for dinner (yeah the one across the road). We go there oftebn but I'm sad to say the standard is dropping like no one's business, I felt like I was eating sodium and the presentation was CRAP. Think: peanuts, taukua thrown on plate untidily... unappetitsing layout. So ugly I didn't even take any picts!!! So unlike me right???

We headed to the (ok, MY) very desired Changi Airport TCC... He didn't want to go but after my face changed? He obliged... I made him admit I didn't 'force' him! So mean right...

On the way... still ok.

CJ7 dolls at Mini Toons... so cute =)

Yes, finally!

Left: Azuki Freeze (best as usual); Right: Azuki Coffee Cooler (sucks) and marble cheese cake, the cake looks very fake hor?

------ ME buay song him... results in quarrel... ------

On the way back, we spoke less than 2 sentences from Changi Airport to Yew Tee. The only sentences made was him asking me if I needed help with my bag.

But you kiss and makeup; end of the day, still realise that we love each other. A quarrel does make a couple closer sometimes. We spent sometime at the void deck trashing things out.

A couple that doesn't quarrel is WEIRD. Think: perfect world, perfect partners? Forget it.

Never walk alone again =)

The Pancake mix pict earlier? Well, I'm craving for home-made pancakes, drizzled with maple syrup, butter, jam and fresh berries served with coffee or tea! I wanna make this breakfast this weekend!!!

I'm starting to suspect if this cooking craving of mine is the result of the newly bought waffle food toy.

You can open and close the waffle maker lor.. the waffle piece also can be taken out!!!

I bet it is.

And before I go, here's another of my current fav too!

Seafood! Lobster, oysters, paired with white wine! Shiok! LOL For those of you who don't play with this, all the parts can be separated! You'll be amazed how detailed this whole thing is!

Ciao.
