Been spending alot of time for the new house matters; that also means how much less time I've been having with my family and friends. I really ought to dedicate some time with them! And I haven't been uploading photos properly since my ROM! OMG!

At work, shit is cleared but quite quickly builds up once again (vicious cycle that's impossible to break), and I'm trying my best to stay afloat. But if work ever does stop coming in for me, its probably a sign that I'm no longer needed and knowing the economy now, people in this category would be the ones who risk losing their jobs... Thinking of that, I would rather have work to fuss over. At least I'm contributing...

Few trips to book stores for the past weeks and here's what I would like to get my hands on...
The Memory Keeper’s Daughter – Kim Edwards
Remember Me – Melvyn Bragg
Brida – Paulo Coelho
The Painter of Shanghai – Jennifer Cody Epstein
Blue Eyed Devil – Lisa Kleypas
Secrets – Jude Deveraux
Revolutionary Road – Richard Yates
The Great Gatsby – F.Scott Fitzerald
The Time Traveler’s Wife – Audrey Niffeneggar
The Ancient Ship – Zhang Wei
Hurting Distance – Sophie Hannah

So many titles of my interest... which should I start with first? Have you read any of the above that sucked? Please tell me if you have!!!

Well I used to only buy books that I've read and like alot; I would buy them to read once more and keep; and I would sometimes recommend to friends or lend the books to them.

But soon after, I also started buying books randomly, whether or not I've read them. Turns out some titles are quite good! Buying a book spontaneously can be quite an exciting / mysterious thing. When I get a new book I'm always very eager to start reading it. It's almost like the book's waiting for you to uncover the surprises it has for you within! The sypnosis won't reveal much and sometimes it is the feeling the book gives you. Could be the way the sypnosis is written. Could be the cover design. Could be the random 'tester' page you read when you flip through the book (I use this method to see what style the book is written in) that draws you to owning the book. I must say that my book 'intuition' is rather good... maybe only 1 or 2 out of 10 books I pick are too sucky to finish (and a complete waste of $!).

To many, it is quite a waste to buy books because you'll finish reading and have no more use for them. But I just love to own the books, rather than searching for them in the library or renting from shops etc. It just doesn't feel so shiok having to return the books. I guess this is another part of me that shows how materialistic I am. I WANT the item. I want it as MINE. I can have no use for them but I just want to own them.

If I can have my personal reading corner set up in my new home how wonderful it would be! Think: Flipping through a good old book (I usually read my books 2 or 3 times) and enjoying a cup of hot tea... something that never fails to satisfy me!

Dreamin of my home~~ again and again! But then... its gonna burn a big hole in our pockets... ZZZZZzzZZZ
